AP50 System for Small to Mid-sized Commercial Vessels or YachtsThe Ultimate in Autopilot Performance, Reliability, and Sophistication
The result of over 60 years of autopilot experience, the AP50 will provide precise steering, using the least amount of rudder movement to save fuel and wear on the steering-gear. With adaptive settings for sea state filter, rudder offset, rudder deadband, speed response, and pump speed, the AP50 will hold a course in any sea condition. Unique features such as "work" mode and thruster control allow the AP50 to hold an accurate course at low speeds or under unusual load conditions.
AP50 Control Head
The rugged AP50 control head features an easy-to-use rotary course change knob and clearly-marked pushbuttons. The extra large 5.25" LCD display provides a number of data pages where you can view autopilot parameters such as compass heading, set course, rudder position, as well as information received from other compatible equipment such as GPS navigation data and wind, depth and speed data.
J50 Processor
The J50 Autopilot Computer is the brains behind the Simrad autopilot system. It contains both the steering computer and the electronics for the drive unit and also provides interface to other system components using the proprietary SimNet data network and standard NMEA 0183 signals. The J50 will handle either the RPU80 or RPU160 pumps as well as most linear drive units. Includes 16 ft. of SimNet cable for connection to the display unit.
RF45x Rudder Feedback Unit
For those requiring a more robust rudder feedback solution, the RF45X is the perfect solution.
