All that data means the nüvi 3597LMTHD will help you find millions of addresses and POIs, including businesses, stores and restaurants. The POIs are already loaded into your device, so you don’t need to worry about finding an address. Simply choose your POI from the list. And, if that’s not enough for you, you can always enter your own POIs.

HD Digital Traffic receives updates every 30 seconds, which makes it 10 times faster than other traffic systems. For instance, if you’re driving 60 miles per hour, your nüvi 3597LMTHD can get traffic updates every half mile. Even on short trips, that could save you minutes and hours each day.

HD Digital Traffic gives you a coverage area that includes interstates, highways and secondary roads. It can receive loads of traffic messages, which will help you decide to stay your course or find a different route. And the best part? It’s free. Your traffic alerts appear on the side of your nüvi 3597LMTHD’s screen, which means your driving map stays front and center in your display. You can also get spoken traffic messages. Further, Garmin Traffic is voice activated, responding to your verbal requests. Garmin Traffic will give you details of your traffic situation, including an estimate of how long your delay will take and if there are any possible detours. Plus, it can also tell you if you’re on the fastest route.

Real Directions, Real Voice
With Garmin Real Directions and Real Voice, turn-by-turn directions move to the next level. The easily-understood spoken commands sound like a friend riding shotgun. Real Directions uses recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights to guide you, so you don’t need to worry about reading street names anymore. Both Garmin Real Voice and Garmin Real Directions are available only in Garmin GPS navigators.

It works with your Bluetooth
The nüvi 3597LMTHD can sync with a Bluetooth device, such as your smartphone, to allow hands-free calling through its integrated microphone and speaker. Safely store your phone in your glove compartment or purse while you make hands-free calls.

Link to your smartphone
You can use Smartphone Link, a free mobile app, to connect your nüvi 3597LMTHD and Android smartphone. Together, the dynamic duo can use your phone’s data plan to tell you where you parked, nearby POIs and your destination. With Smartphone Link, you also get access to the Garmin Live Services4, which updates your device with weather and traffic conditions and other useful information.

Fear lane changes no more
Your nüvi 3597LMTHD gives you Active Lane guidance, allowing you to navigate an exit or interchange with ease. As you approach the interchange, you’ll see brightly colored arrows letting you know if you need to change lanes. You’ll also receive voice guidance, and BirdsEye junction view gives you a detailed overhead vision of your interchange. Further, photoReal junction view gives you realistic images of junctions and interchanges. Plus, your nüvi 3597LMTHD depicts real road signs as they appear.

The ultra-slim nüvi 3597LMTHD features a pleasing aesthetic that fits any car. And a powered magnet mount can both hold your device and charge it while you drive.

The information you need
Your nüvi 3597LMTHD shows your driving map at all times. You’ll see additional information in the margins. If you need details, just ask or touch the screen. While you drive, Up Ahead regularly reminds you of nearby services and POIs.

Your nüvi 3597LMTHD also shows the speed limit, your current speed and an accurate time of arrival. Just glance down to see your current speed, and you can also receive school zone warnings and 3-D buildings and terrain.
